NEWSLETTER FOR 1ST TERM 2018/2019 SESSION
School resumed for the 2018/19 session on the 24th of September, 2018. It was 12-week term.
Mainland district and Society of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria visited our School on the 26th of September for a “Catch them Young” programme. They mentored Senior School students on the Accounting profession and donated some books.
Vision Spring Inc, a United States Company through their Nigerian Representatives in conjunction with First Bank Plc, conducted free eye checks for all staff and students in November. The project is aimed at ensuring that anyone who needs eye glasses get them FREE OF CHARGE. The glasses were distributed to both staff and students on Thursday, 13 December.
To ensure proper preparation for external examinations, SS 3 and JSS 3 students have started extra classes on Fridays and Saturdays. This arrangement continues when we resume for 2nd term.
The students wrote two Continuous Assessment tests and examination this term.
This was held on the 31st of October. As usual, attendance was not very encouraging, especially with parents of Senior School students. We still appeal to parents to avail themselves of this opportunity of meeting with their children’s subject teachers and class teachers.
This came up on the 1st and 2nd of November, 2018.
The students went on an excursion to Omu Resort Centre, Ibeju-Lekki during the mid-term break.
AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE/FISHERIES EXCURSION
This is to notify parents whose children are in JS 3 and those who offer Fisheries and Agricultural Science in Senior School that they will embark on an educational excursion in the 2nd week of resumption, next term.
They are expected to pay N 3,500.00 only, to cover charge at the Fishery facility to be visited and other logistics.
CHRISTMAS CAROL OF NINE LESSONS
The School’s Annual Christmas Carol took place on the 13th of December.
WAEC/NECO SSCE REGISTRATION
Registration has started. Parents of SS 3 students who have not paid are encourage to urgently address this because registration for WAEC ends this December. Late registration attracts extra payment.
We express our deep gratitude to the PTA for the gift of rice to all staff. Thank you for sustaining this gesture, in spite of your limited resources.
We also thank you for gifts to all staff during Teachers’ Day on the 5th of October.
School vacated on the 14th of December, 2018.
BECE EXAMINATION REGISTRATION
JS 3 students are expected to start paying for their external examination coming up in April. Registration starts immediately School resumes for 2nd term.
COLLECTION OF RESULT
Results for 1st term are to be collected on the first day of resumption, 7th January, 2019.
Fees are to be paid on or before resumption.
School resumes for 2nd Term on Monday, 7th January, 2019.
